Intro

Unlike merchant data on OSM, only admins can edit communities, which are stored directly in the BTC Map DB.

If you would like to be a community admin, please email us or drop into our Discord.

Adding Communities

The video demo (created by ProfEduStream) explains how to use the Admin Web App.

  • Please verify the community is active and bitcoin only.
  • We do not accept whole country communities. If submissions are made for whole-country communities then suggest creating a Community Organisation that multiple Communities can be tagged with.
  • Overlapping and/or multiple Communities per city or region are perfectly reasonable.

To display your community logo on the communities webpage, please send us your current logo via email or Discord message. The file format can be .jpeg, .png, or .svg. For best results, the logo should be approximately square (400 x 400px), since it will be cropped into a circle.
